How do I get started?
	Choose your area Decide the geographical area you would like to cover. This may be where you live or it could be in an adjacent area. We will not dictate the size of your area you wish to cover provided we do not consider it to be too large to be handled by one person and that it doesn't encroach on another Associate's area.
	Size-up your customers Wander down your main high street and look at the types of businesses you have there. Undoubtedly there will be a vast range of every type of business from shops, estate agents, solicitors, accountants (usually above the shops) plus all the restaurants, bars and pubs. Every one of these is a potential advertiser that will benefit from being part of your new community website.
	Make a plan You've chosen your area, you've seen how many potential customers you have, now you need to think about the time you'll need to spend setting up the website once it's configured (by us) for you. Once you have paid your initial fee your website will be ready for you to start 'populating' within seven days. In due course you will receive a marketing pack from us containing information on how to attract advertisers and how to source local news, events, clubs and general information.
	You're not alone... At every step along the way we are here to help you. We will guide you through how to use the Site Manager to start putting adverts and other information onto your website. We're available for telephone & email help and support during normal office hours and you'll have access to a members-only support area on the Local Area Link website where you'll find an easy to use, 'intelligent' knowledgebase that you can ask questions of. Plus you'll have free access to a forum so you can chat to other Local Area Link Associates to discuss ideas etc.
